Il Palagio di Panzano

Il Palagio, once a fortified tower-house dating back to the 12^th/13^th century, was later extended to a farm villa, as witnessed by a few architectonical features. Located in the charming Conca d’ Oro – the “Golden Valley” of Panzano in Chianti at the southern and south-western hill, just outside of the little town. Surrounded by a wide Mediterranean garden, Il Palagio di Panzano is unique micro-cosmos. Lots of changes, a long story, while the story of our family starts in 1965.

Here, viticulture and hospitality create a perfect union radiating a sophisticated, attractive atmosphere, framed by a breathtaking view.

Monia Piccini and Franco Guarducci grew up in Panzano and are very fond of this land. Today they manage the estate with profound respect of its origins and with the courage to undertake new ideas. The big love for the Sangiovese grape finds its best expression in the Gran Selezione “Vigna delle Bambole”, but also in the RISERVA Chianti Classico. Territoriality, pronounced minerality are the common thread of all Palagio wines.
