Monte Bernardi

Monte Bernardi grows vines organically and uses biodynamic methods since the Schmelzer family acquired the farm in 2004.  The name of the estate goes back to 1085.  The farming methods used are based on traditional methods that providing the maximum terroir expression and valorize the vintage characteristics while ensuring the production of the highest fruit quality.  The vineyards are planted on steep grades where cool air circulates from the surrounding oak forest and the river Pesa creating a special microclimate.  Monte Bernardi provides stunning views of the beautiful countryside.  The wines are inspired by ancient knowledge and the sensitive interpretation of the new millennium wine maker, who is capable of listening to nature’s voice and translating it into remarkable wines.
