Cafaggio

The Cafaggio Estate extends for about 60 hectares, divided into 30 hectares of specialized vineyards, about 3 hectares of olive groves and the remaining part in woodland, in Panzano.

The origins of Cafaggio date back to the distant past, in the Middle Ages; the first document attesting to its presence is from 1408, as shown by a precious parchment preserved in the company archive. At that time the property was called “Cahago”, which means fenced, cultivated field.

The modern history of Cafaggio began at the end of the 60s, when the vineyards were renovated and the cellar built with the best technologies, with the aim of producing quality and elegant wines, which would give new prestige to its territory.

We produce a Chianti Classico, a Chianti Classico Riserva, two different Gran Selezione “cru” and two IGT, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Grappa as well.

The winery has been organically run since 2014.
