Fattoria di Rignana

Rignana is a small hamlet located at the western edge of the Panzano territory.

In former centuries it has been the Residency of Bishop Scipione dé Ricci.

Since 1965 the property belongs in third generation to the Gericke Family.

The estate stretches over 120 hectars with 14 hectars of vineyard. Within the estate there is an Agriturismo offering 16 rooms and a restaurant.

Organic since 2014, we have selected a Canaiolo which is bottled both in purity and also used as an important part for our Chianti Classico. Further we are at the forth vintage of the Gran Selezione, strictly Sangiovese.

Since 2009 we are bottling our Super Tuscan il Riccio, first Merlot, later Cabernet Franc.

Additionally there is our traditional Riserva Chianti Classico, a Rosé and the white wine, both produced from a precocious harvest of the Sangiovese grape.
