La Massa, a gem within the heart of Chianti Classico. 25 hectars of vineyard exposed towards south in the splendid Conca d’ Oro, the Golden Shell of Panzano. Documents tell us the fascinating story of wine and olive oil that were produced since the 15th century. At the end of the 17th century the estate’s name was Podere di Massa and became a property of the curia of Fiesole. Later it was part of the “Hospital of Bonifazio of the city of Florence”.
Giampaolo Motta discovers the estate in 1992 and begins a long renovation work of the vineyards and the cellars, following the dream to turn it into a dreamlike Paradise.
